BENEFITS OF ISTIGHFAR

In the time of Zainul-Abidin a man came to a Sheikh he said, "Sheikh we suffer from drought, their is no rain, give us a solution." So Sheikh said, "Increase the saying of Astighfirullah - increase Istighfar." So the person went.

And another person came and he said, "Their is poverty - poverty has struck our land. Give as a solution."  and the Sheikh said, "Increase Istighfar."

So the people came and the Sheikh is giving Nasiha, Istighfar, Istighfar. A man sitting with the Sheikh says, 'What is this..you know everyone comes, you give the same medication, if it were flue or whatever.' So the Sheikh says, "It's from the Quraan." Where Allah Rabbul-Izza narrates the story of Nuh alayhi salatu wasalam. "..Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance. Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water).." [An-Nuh 71:10-12]

So the benefits of Istighfar increases and saves us from the Adhab of Allah. Allah Rabbul-Izza says, [Al-Anfal 8:33] "..But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness.."

So busy yourself with Istighfar.
